Q: What if I don’t want to use my timeshare in a particular year?

A:  You can let others use it, rent it, bank it or exchange it.  By joining RCI or Interval International for about $89 a year, you can deposit your week by phone, fax or computer into their bank of timeshares. You can then choose another of their timeshares anywhere in the world for the next two years to use in place of your timeshare for an exchange fee of about $139, subject to availability of your choice. You may thereby use someone else’s timeshare that year in place of your own, or carry over use of your exchange week to the following year so you can take two weeks vacation that year. Another benefit of the exchange system is that the trading organizations regularly offer terrific deals throughout the year to stay at timeshares at deep discounts such as $199 or $299 per week which you can use as an additional vacation while still keeping or banking your own week. When you bank your week, you never need to find someone else to use your week, since the exchanges take care of that, and you are free to use a week elsewhere even if your unit is never used.

Q:  Is there any difference between buying a timeshare from Travelweeks.com and buying it from the developer?

A: Yes! You will save thousands of dollars by buying the same timeshare from Travelweeks.com. Other than that, there is usually no difference. A few resorts offer marginal benefits if you buy from them at full price, such as accumulating vacation points in their own systems, but you would pay thousands of dollars more for the exact same timeshare we offer.

Q: What is the total cost of buying a timeshare through Travelweeks.com?

A: The total cost is the purchase price plus $395 for the closing fee, which covers the cost of deed preparation, recording the deed and notifying the resort of your purchase. In addition, a few resorts charge their own nominal transfer fee which you may incur, and you will pay the current year's maintenance fee if the timeshare is available for your use that year. All costs will be clearly itemized up front.

Q:  How do you accept payment?

A: You can pay for your purchase or rental of a timeshare by check, wire transfer, or Paypal.  Paypal also allows you to charge your purchase to a major credit card.

Q: How does the purchase process work?

A:  When you pay for your timeshare, we will ask you how you would like your deed titled and where to send it. Travelweeks.com will take care of preparing a deed, recording it where the property is located, and notifying the resort. All you have to do is pack!
